We are holding a week of events in week 9 (20th - 23rd November). This is a week dedicated to raising awareness about the oppression that is perpetuated throughout the body of students belonging to marginalised groups; whether that be gender, ethnicity, (dis)ability, religion, or sexuality.
This week's purpose is to foster greater student involvement and engagement with the Queen Mary commnunity in order to create a more inclsuive space. |

ROUND TABLE - COLONIALISM AND MODERN DAY BEAUTY STANDARDS
Come and join us for our first Round Table in which we'll be discussing colonialism and it's impacts on modern day beauty standards. What is colourism? Does it exist, and if so, why? Why is afro hair so politicised? Why do we contour our noses? Come down for a lively night of discussion (and samosas!) |
St Benet's Chaplaincy (left of Queens Building) - 6-8pm |
